Does it seem odd (unfortunately the picture of the car only seems to be in Saturday’s West) that the police are advertising their anti-speeding campaign using a “one-off special purpose Ford Falcon XR-6 Turbo”? Perhaps they could use a Prius instead?

“Bionic” Addition To Traffic Enforcement
Two new weapons in the war against the road toll are designed to have a highly visible impact on road traffic law enforcement.
A high tech, high-performance Highway Patrol car is the latest addition to the Police Traffic Enforcement Group.
It is a one-off special purpose Ford Falcon XR-6 Turbo with specially designed reflective markings contrasting with a spectacular “Bionic Blue” paint job, and an experimental new flashing light bar on the roof.
The other initiative is a more driver friendly approach to the use of speed cameras.
