It seems that Minister for Censorship, Stephen Conroy has possibly already prompted the Australian Domain name Authority auDA to attempt to take down the StephenConroy.com.au site, allowing them only 3 hours to respond before forcing the site offline. Now online again in the less fascist .com domain.

With MySpace launching its “Impact” space today, Australian politicians now have a presence there (hopefully it will keep them off LiveJournal).
Seeing as it’s all about social networking, here’s a summary of how many friends their page lists them as having:
- Howard Government 8
- Kevin Rudd 1854
- Bob Brown 164
- Andrew Bartlett 80
- Steve Fielding 5
- Peter Garrett 461
- Joe Hockey 83 (they must like “Who Let The Dogs Out”)
- Kerry Nettle 43
- Tanya Plibersek ?
- Malcolm Turnbull 70 (stunning example of appallingly unreadable website design)
- Warren Snowdon ?
- Dennis Jensen 6
- Julia Gillard 355
- Wayne Swan ?
- Stephen Conroy 69
- Maxine McKew ?
- Nicola Roxon 66
- Greg Combet 242 (exceedingly ‘busy’ background)
- Steve Ciobo 47 (“Sounds of Then”)
- Sam Crosby ?
