Perth Christmas lights 2009-2010
Thursday, December 24th, 2009If you’re looking for some Christmas light action around Wembley Downs, turn from Glenelg St into Dunrossil St. Or maybe just walk down the (dead end) street and admire the scenery. Also nearby is a lovely display with Santas on Millcrest Road. There’s also some nice lights on Hancock St, and Grant St. Not to mention the displays down on Bishop Riley Way in Churchlands.

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007Aside from the overpriced mediocre food, and the appallingly slow coffee service it turns out that if you buy food on your salary sacrifice card the waitstaff will then prevent you from buying alcohol, even if you aren’t buying it on your salary sacrifice card, and it’s after 5:30pm. Even in the days of Perth’s new dining + alcohol laws. So I guess the solution would be to buy the alcohol first, then the food? They’re unlikely to be able to deny you food with your alcohol order.

Transperth Amusement
Tuesday, March 27th, 2007Transperth wishes to advise that due to a software upgrade malfunction, SmartRider is unavailable on all train lines. During this time, passengers do not need to tag on or tag off train services.
As I caught the 20:02 from the Perth station there were two techs feeding what was presumably a software update into one of the Smartrider terminals. Could be a long night for some.
