Dr Barry J. Green, Directorate of Energy European Commission, will be giving a lecture at UWA’s Ross Lecture theatre tomorrow night (Wed 26th July 2006) on Fusion Energy and the ITER Project, the Next Step to a Sustainable Future.
Hopefully between the Chinese and the European research we’ll be firing up the fusion reactors before we have to resort to building more fission reactors. Of course I’m sure then there’ll be much more research into directed energy weapons given the abundant power. But then we can use them to launch spacecraft.
