What the ACMA is up to…

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Four Corners this evening (about some nutters claiming that the Chinese discovered New Zealand. Nutters who have sold many copies of their book though) was followed by a message about an ACMA ruling (about a story that aired two years ago!). This included a URL for the ACMA site. Wherein you can find a lot of investigations into such shows as A Current Affair, 60 Minutes and others.

UWA ITER Fusion lecture tomorrow (Wed) night

Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

Dr Barry J. Green, Directorate of Energy European Commission, will be giving a lecture at UWA’s Ross Lecture theatre tomorrow night (Wed 26th July 2006) on Fusion Energy and the ITER Project, the Next Step to a Sustainable Future.

Hopefully between the Chinese and the European research we’ll be firing up the fusion reactors before we have to resort to building more fission reactors. Of course I’m sure then there’ll be much more research into directed energy weapons given the abundant power. But then we can use them to launch spacecraft.
