No staff parking. No pay parking. Gridlock in the carpark. Eventually managed to snag a spot after hunting for some time. Spent the rest of the day feeding the meter. Did get to see the P plate driver of a new black Jag with personalised plates swapping details with the other P-plater who’d backed into her.
On the work front, nothing particularly broken this morning. 79 recordings scheduled and no showstopping failures. The usual venues with volumes too low, people not turning on their microphones, etc. Makes me quite happy for day one, as none of it’s my fault
Touch wood all will continue to go well here and elsewhere. Kind of cool to be able to watch lectures from all over campus from your desk.
Today is Collop Monday (Mmmm… Bacon). Pancakes tomorrow. You know, despite un petite peu de francaise I never realised that Mardi Gras translates as Fat Tuesday.
