Was chatting with my barber today, he said he’d just renewed the lease on his shop after 20 years (I’ve been going to him since his shop was in a different location). He’s been cutting hair for 37 years now. His dad was a barber. He said he’s cut the hair of a grandchild of a client whom he originally gave their first haircut. He’s trained around 25 apprentices. His barbershop used to be a hotbed of gossip and stockmarket tips (some more reliable than others) and still is to some degree, I’m sure, but not on a weekend.
I also realise that my haircuts usually coincide with job interviews or releases of software I’m working on
Also, the Digilife store on the Murray St. Mall side of City Arcade seems to have closed. Pizza shop coming soon. Now if only they’d combined the two!
