Night of the Orkut

So, Google’s got this new community networking software called Orkut. But you can only join it by invitation. It was mentioned on Slashdot a few weeks ago. But of course nobody knew anyone who had an invitation.
So, late last night/early this morning I got my first invitation. Closely followed by my second today. And then lots of friends creating links. So, all I can hope is that it can handle the load, because I suspect it’s growing exponentially.
I also hope it does better than the one time wonder, sixdegrees
